For the December 2012-January 2013 theme: Genetically engineered werewolves
UlvTech is a branch of a company that sells customizable genetically engineered animal clones. The most popular products from the company are modified to make cuter or more intelligent pets, but UlvTech is seeking further funding for a project combining human and wolf DNA. Once perfected they will be willing to market them to anyone from the military to organizations that run illegal animal fight tournaments.
The first werewolf is the oldest surviving member of the test population, at 25 years old. He is very intelligent, but acts more like a skittish wild animal than a human. He will sometimes trust the people who raised him, but is very frightened of strangers. For most of his life he has suffered crippling arthritis and digestive upset due to imperfectly mixed anatomical structures.
The middle werewolf has the sweetest personality of the test population, and acts very similar to a dog. He has a deformed jaw and many missing teeth, making eating difficult. At 10 years old he is showing some signs of arthritis, but is otherwise fairly healthy.
The last werewolf is close to what the company wants, but still not quite there. At 5 years old he has just reached adulthood. He is very strong and fast over short distances, but a metabolic defect is causing him to put on too much weight no matter how they adjust his diet. He is very smart but too willful, since the company wants to breed in absolute obedience. Most of the staff are not allowed to work with him, since he can be aggressive and tests people first mentally and then physically for signs of weakness. When a man quit abruptly and left no contact information rumors spread that the creature killed him and the company covered it up.
