New dogs in that yard!
Charge the fence! Fluff spine! Leave now!
Why doesn’t this work?
Our new neighbors keep putting different dogs in their backyard, so there have been a lot of noisy introductions lately. Jasmine is just easily excited, but Kuzco is a bit less thrilled. Different ones keep fluffing up at each other, but it’s not very impressive when you have a really short coat.

I didn't know dogs fluff up much, I thought it was only a bit on the spine (poor ridgebacks must feel so embarrassed there)!

Rats do it surprisingly impressively for animals with short coats though.
