The vet clinic where I work participates in local trap/sterilize/release feral cat programs. It is always so funny seeing the cats drugged for surgery. They are so limp and just stare at you with dopy wide-eyed expressions and you have to put artificial tears in their eyes since they can’t close them.
They get green tattoo ink in their incisions as a signal for other vets if caught again, which is also kind of weird looking.

I saw a strange picture once, it was like a metal shelf of cats all knocked out, they were going to do a bunch of surgeries at once. I wish I could find it again.
