Challenges- 1. Unlocked- shapeshift at will.

Personality:
Allen is extroverted, narcissistic, and a dedicated problem solver. From work to socializing, he always has to keep his mind busy. He enjoys being around other werewolves, though the thought at the back of his mind in any relationship is always, “what can you do for me?” He tries to get along with other wolves, but the uptight ones are fun to mess with. Females are an exception, for the way to a lady’s heart is through charm, not trying to piss her off.

Background:
Allen is an only child and his parents moved to Oklahoma from Germany shortly before he was born. He was always curious about why they left, but they never liked talking about it. His father also grew tense whenever he tried to ask questions about his grandfather, so he figured a serious falling out might have been the cause.

He had a normal childhood and developed into a fairly normal, though selfish man. He enjoyed working with his hands, which led to a career as a repairman. His father died when he was 34, and the next year he got a letter informing him that his grandfather had also died and left him a property in his will. To claim it, he had to visit it in person. Curious about a chance to learn more about his mysterious grandfather, he quickly got on a plane to Germany.

The house his grandfather had owned was a bit run-down, so Allen decided to fix it up while he researched family history. On the first night he slept in the house he heard a noise, as if someone was sneaking around somewhere down the hallway. He leapt out of bed to confront the intruder, and was startled to discover a man who claimed to be his grandfather. The man said something about leaving his only descendant a gift far more valuable than money, then transformed into a wolf and pounced. The wolf bit into Allen’s leg and he fell, hitting his head and knocking himself out. When he woke up he wanted to think it had all been a dream since there was no trace of the man or the wolf, but the bite suggested otherwise.

4 days later, still in Germany, the full moon rose and Allen smashed up the house before escaping onto the street. The next morning he remembered little of his first shift, but was impressed by the damage he had done. Fixing the house was a welcome distraction from the blood on his hands, so he focused on it until he could sell it and return to the USA.

Back home he tried to make sense of what was happening on his own for the next few months, before realizing that this wasn’t something he could do alone. He sought out others like himself, and the first he came across were a local pack of Belekt. They welcomed him with open, bloodstained arms and taught him to give in and enjoy his new instincts. He reveled in the power for his next few shifts, before the pack was ambushed by a werewolf hunter and he fled in terror. Realizing that there were people out there looking to put a silver bullet between his eyes, he decided to relocate to a safer territory.

Elkhorn attracted him when he learned of its high population of werewolves, thinking “the more others there are around, the more people who can take a bullet instead of me.” He has started his own self-employed repair business, specializing in fixing the property damage done by the town’s unusually aggressive “bears.” If business is slow, he can always visit some human’s home at night to create a new problem that he can be called to fix.

For a Belekt, Allen is not particularly interested in fighting. He also has no interest in joining a pack, but will hang around anyone who tolerates him. Those who don’t may become objects of amusement, though he is more like an annoying kid who says “I’m not touching you” than someone who is directly threatening. He has nothing against killing humans, and may do so for fun if his fear of the werewolf hunters doesn’t overcome him.

Yay long backstory :slow:

A chance to role play and practice anatomy and backgrounds along with several people I’m already watching who draw awesome looking werewolves? Irresistible.
So here’s my guy. Not very intimidating if you’re another werewolf, unless someone poking you in the back of the head and running away if you chase him counts as intimidating. Oh man I was laughing while I drew that shocked/scared face. Later I decided that maybe it would be his reaction to seeing this  [link]
His coat pattern is based on the rich reds and blacks seen in some Eurasian wolves, Canis lupus lupus =)
